Indian deed to Lubbertus van Dincklage, attorney of Henrick van der Capelle tho Ryssel, for the whole of Staten island, called by the Indians Eghquaons. [1657] The deed includes a small drawing or doodle of native Americans and a Dutchman smoking a pipe.

Description
Map of part of the State of New York with parts of the adjacent states. Map by John Aldman and John Wallis, copied from the original at a reduced scale by draftsman David Vaughan. Lithography of C. Van Benthuysen, Albany, N.Y. The map shows parts of Pennsylvania and the boundary of the Six Nations (Cayugas, Mohawks, Oneidas, Onondagas, Senecas, Tuscaroras), as well as mountains, waterways, Indian paths, roads, place names, and drainage. The original map was made in 1793-1794, and this printing and redrafting probably dates from the 1850s. Original map size 15" x 25".

Scale of 160 chains to an inch. Map of land divided into numbered lots, Military land, New Stockbridge, waterways and some landowners noted. Map includes a key to land surveyed and surveyors. Original map size 12” x 14.75”.
