Description
In this study of climate, two views taken on the same day to compare foliage. The image to the left was taken at Saranac Lake in the Adirondack Mountains. The leaves had to appear. The image to the right was taken at Ellenville in the Catskill Mountains. The trees in this image are full of leaves.

Mount Marcy from side of Mount Skylight

Description
A view of Mount Marcy from Mount Skylight. Snow and coniferous trees can be seen up the slope of the mountain. Many of the trees in the front of the picture are broke and dead, possibly due to the climate or logging. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation used this photograph to view the landscapes of the state's forests.
