Description
View of a field taken in October 1940, two months after a so-called "August freeze." In the foreground is a red pine; its drooping needles are presumably the consequence of frost damage. This image was created to record forestry and parks activities of the New York State Forest, Fish and Game Commission, Conservation Commission, or Conservation Department.
