Description
Factory Investigating Commission's Wage Classification data cards for Geo. P. Ide and Co.'s shirt factory in Albany, New York. The card lists types of occupations, gender and age categories of employees, and rates of pay for employees at the factory. Employees were paid by the piece. For example, a woman would be paid 5¢ for hemming a dozen negligee shirts at a machine. Circa 1914.
