View of a man, probably a forest ranger, putting out an incipient forest fire, location unknown. The date is also unrecorded, but may be the 1920s. He is carrying a metal canister on his back and spraying the contents onto the fire. This image was created to record the forest fire control activities of the New York State Forest, Fish and Game Commission, Conservation Commission, or Conservation Department.
